Born on the banks of Black Bayou in Caddo Parish Louisiana,
Eric Wilder grew up not only hearing, but living the mysteries
of Louisiana, nearby east Texas and southern Arkansas.
He graduated from what is now the University of Louisiana at
Monroe with a degree in geology. He served in the U.S.
Army as an infantry foot soldier, and finally as a clerk typist
in Vietnam.
Following his stint in the Army, he graduated from University
of Arkansas with a master's degree in geology. He moved to
Oklahoma during the 70s Arab oil embargo.
Eric began his writing career following the 80s oil bust. The
author of eight books and seventy short stories, he updates
his story blog Musings of a Dangerous Mind, almost daily.
Eric lives and writes in Edmond,
Oklahoma, along with wife Marilyn
and their five dogs and two cats.
